Every Day is a Celebration

I’m not just saying this, I really do love my life!

I always get told (and totally agree) that I’m a picture person in the truest sense of the phrase.

I’m not sure if other people are as visually stimulated by their surroundings as much as I am, but every day I find myself feeling overwhelmed by all the things I feast my eyes upon.

Here (and in no particular order) are some pictures of the things I have seen (and done) over the past couple weeks.

Have a happy weekend everyone x

Love Can Damage Your Health

And it’s all up to her
You know you’d be a fool
She’s the one gone bad
She’ll do it anyway
And take the lead and say
She won’t be gone long
You realise
Cause she’s too nice to you
And you’re too nice to her
If you don’t let each other get buried
Cause you know comes a time
When love will unwind
Somebody suffers what’s new, still you
Do you know that it’s over
Love can damage your health
And you don’t put up a fight
You don’t let each other get buried
You know there’s a time
So don’t let down your guard
Baby keep up your sheer
Cause she doesn’t care less what they say
So you know that it’s over
Love can damage your health

I brought you something close to me
And let with something new
I see through your head
You haunt my dreams
There’s nothing to do but believe
Just breathe, just breathe.

White Trim Sunglasses, Forever New

I recently purchased this pair of over-sized sunnies from Forever New. It’s amazing how my mood can influence my buying decisions ~ it was one of those ‘everything looks good on me’ and ‘I’ll take that, that and that’ days!

But after I’d bought them and tried them on at home, I wasn’t do sure anymore and had actually made the decision to return them. I changed my mind about them once again when I put them on on a very cold day ~ I was wearing a somewhat boyish outfit ~ and they just seemed to add that necessary touch of feminine ‘ge ne se qua’ that was needed to lift my outfit and fell in love with them all over again.

They are HUGE, but I think I’ll keep them!

A View, a Train Ride, a Love Triangle, Wild Things and Jax…

Another long weekend, another weekend I’ll never forget!

I’m sitting behind my desk at the office staring blankly out the window watching the ever changing drops of rain trail down the sides of the glass. I feel if I watched them for long enough I’d eventually be put into a subtle state of trance or meditation and if I could I’d sit here {exteriorly mindless, interiorly mindful} and contemplate the meaning of life. But as always, there’s work to be done…

On Thursday night I went out with my beautiful friend Amanda. It was great catching up with her as I hadn’t been seeing as much of her as I used to. But now that she’s moved to town I hope we’ll be seeing lots more of each other. We first went to The Reserve, where much later in the night I saw someone I was hoping to see {but not hoping to see at the same time}. I think I may have unintentionally started a bit of a love triangle. Then we popped in at Trinity for the Playboy Party. I’ve never been to one before and was curious to see what it was about, but upon arrival I already knew it was going to disappoint my expectations. Luckily, thanks to some generous people we know, we never have to pay for these things… ;-)

On Friday {even though I had only gone to bed at 5am once again} I woke up at 10.30am filled with excitement as my friend from Johannesburg {Jax} would be arriving shortly! I really had the best time with her, and I miss her already… Here is my weekend in pictures:

Happy week ahead! xox
